Mr. Shitagi Privacy Policy

About our privacy policy
Mr. Shitagi cares deeply about your privacy. We therefore only process the data we need for (improving) our services, and we handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services made available on it by Mr. Shitagi. The effective date of this policy is 28/09/2025; the publication of a new version invalidates all previous versions. This privacy policy describes what data we collect about you, what this data is used for, and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect your data against misuse, and what rights you have with regard to the personal data you have provided to us.
If you have any questions about our privacy policy, please contact our privacy officer; you’ll find the contact details at the end of this privacy policy.

About data processing
Below you can read how we process your data, where we store it (or have it stored), which security techniques we use, and who has access to it.

Web store software
WooCommerce
Our web store is built using software from WooCommerce. Personal data you provide to us for our services is shared with this party. WooCommerce has access to your data in order to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. Under the agreement we have concluded with them, WooCommerce is required to take appropriate security measures. These security measures include the use of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. WooCommerce uses cookies to collect technical information about your use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored. WooCommerce reserves the right to share collected data within its own group of companies in order to further improve its services.

Web hosting
Strato

We use web hosting and email services from Strato. Strato processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. This party may collect metadata about the use of its services; this is not personal data. Strato has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. Strato is bound by a confidentiality obligation under our agreement.

Strato

We use Strato’s services for our regular business email traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent, as far as possible, misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data. Strato does not have access to our mailbox, and we treat all our email correspondence as confidential.

Payment processors
Mollie

We use the Mollie platform to handle (part of) the payments in our web store. Mollie processes your name, address, and place of residence, as well as your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services, and, in that context, to share (anonymized) data with third parties. All of the safeguards mentioned above regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie’s services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not retain your data for longer than is permitted under the applicable statutory periods.

Reviews Shipping and logistics
PostNL

When you place an order with us, it’s our job to have your package delivered to you. We use PostNL’s services to carry out deliveries. To do so, it’s necessary for us to share your name, address, and place of residence with PostNL. PostNL only uses this data for the purpose of fulfilling the agreement. If PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL also makes your data available to these parties.

Purpose of data processing
General purpose of the processing
We only use your data for the purposes of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the order you place with us. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time, other than at your request, we will ask for your explicit consent to do so. Your data is not shared with third parties, other than to comply with bookkeeping and other administrative obligations. All these third parties are bound to confidentiality on the basis of the agreement between them and us, or an oath, or a statutory obligation.
Automatically collected data
Data automatically collected by our website is processed with the aim of further improving our services. This data (for example, your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.

Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations
In certain cases, Mr. Shitagi may be required by law to share your data in connection with tax or criminal investigations by government authorities. In such cases, we are obliged to share your data, but we will resist doing so wherever the law allows us to.

Retention periods
We retain your data for as long as you are a customer of ours. This means we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you inform us of this, we will also treat it as a request to be forgotten. This also means that we do not retain your data for longer than two years from your last contact or transaction with us, unless there is a legal ground justifying a longer period. Under applicable administrative obligations, we are required to keep invoices containing your (personal) data; we will therefore retain this data for as long as the applicable statutory period runs. However, employees no longer have access to your customer profile or the documents we produced in connection with your order.

Your rights
Under applicable Dutch and European law, you have certain rights as a data subject with regard to the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. Below, we explain what these rights are and how you can exercise them. To prevent misuse, we generally only send copies of your data to the email address already known to us. If you wish to receive the data at a different email address, or by post, for example, we will ask you to verify your identity. We keep a record of handled requests; in the case of a request to be forgotten, we record anonymized data. You will receive all copies of data in the machine-readable format we use within our systems. You always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.

Right of access
You always have the right to view the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you or can be traced back to you. You can make such a request to our privacy officer. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a copy of all the data, along with an overview of the processors holding this data and the category under which we have stored it, to the email address known to us.

Right of rectification
You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you or can be traced back to you corrected. You can make such a request to our privacy officer. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send confirmation that the data has been corrected to the email address known to us.

Right to restriction of processing
You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you or can be traced back to you restricted. You can make such a request to our privacy officer. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send confirmation to the email address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to data portability
You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you or can be traced back to you carried out by another party. You can make such a request to our privacy officer. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send copies of all the data about you that we have processed, or that was processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties, to the email address known to us. In such a case, we will most likely no longer be able to continue providing our services, since the secure linking of data files can no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights
In certain cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Mr. Shitagi. If you object, we will immediately halt the data processing pending resolution of your objection. If your objection is found to be justified, we will make copies of the data we process (or have processed) available to you, and will then permanently halt the processing. You furthermore have the right not to be subjected to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in a way to which this right applies. If you believe that we do, please contact our privacy officer.

Cookies
Third-party cookies
If software solutions from third parties use cookies, this is stated in this privacy policy.

Changes to the privacy policy
We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time. However, you will always find the most recent version on this page. If the new privacy policy has consequences for the way in which we process data about you that has already been collected, we will notify you of this by email.
